How Pocketworks uses AI in digital product development

Asking for your permission

We understand that AI presents opportunities and threats to any business. Therefore, whilst working with you, we will consult your CTO or CIO on their AI policy and respect that during our time together.

Protecting your data

By default, tools like ChatGPT will incorporate any data they receive into their data graph. This puts your intellectual property at risk. We use enterprise versions of these tools and opt out of sharing information back into the models to prevent this from happening.

Giving you productivity gains

Developing and sustaining market-leading digital products can require significant investment. AI tools help us move faster, giving you more for less. Sometimes, we see up to 500% productivity gains when using AI tools for specific tasks. For an entire project, you may notice a 20%-30% saving. We pass these gains on to you, and you will see them as an unused budget at the end of the project.

Ethicability and Sustainability

Our governments have yet to develop their guidelines on Ethical AI. So, for now, we’re trying to be mindful; we know that AI presents opportunities and threats for society and the environment.

We consider it our job to use it responsibly. For example, a single AI request consumes 10x more energy than a traditional non-AI Google search. On the other hand, using AI in your products may offer opportunities to amplify your impact, improve the user experience and even save lives.

When permitted, we use AI across our entire product development process to give you the productivity benefits outlined above. Here are some examples of how we do that:
